Welp, this is awkward! Here we are, smack dab in the middle of a freakin’ pandemic. In every other year since 2012, things around here are typically poppin’, as the kids say— ‘off the chain’, even. But today, in 2020, not so much. As we sit here perched in late March, gazing down the line at Summer, which Remains elusively poised on the horizon, there’s a question that’s begun to bubble up in everyone’s mind in the Champ Camp Community:

Will Champ Camp happen this Summer?

The simplest answer we can give at this point is this: We’re bankin’ on it, but we can’t know yet.

How our summer ends up panning out is completely contingent upon the trajectory of the coronavirus and the subsequent decisions of federal, state, and local governments. We’re optimistically hopeful, but like many of the things we mistakenly tend to worry about in life, it’s out of our control. Instead of getting caught up in “what ifs” and “oh nos,” we’re doubling down on the things that we can control. Here’s how!…

• We’re working to expand our offerings to include more ways for families to experience our ‘High Fives & Good Vibes’

• We’re devising fun new ways to meaningfully engage with our people.

• We’re Feverishly preparing for Summer like we normally would

{See: Lemons —> Lemonade}. We sure hope to see ya on the sand this summer, but in the meantime rest assured that we’re busting our butts to make Champ Camp better than ever. Given the two options of emerging from these uncharted waters either defeated, dispirited, and less capable, or empowered, expanded, and more capable, we’re charging towards the latter (and hope that you are too).
